The Montessori-School in Sri Lanka
The flood desaster on the 26. december 2004 in the indian ocean has left large emergency in the adjacent countries. Sri Lanka was particulary hard destroyed.
Thousands of children became homeless and many children lost their parents. Ekkehart Golze had the idea to realize a school-project for young orphans there, together with the campaign "Hameln-Pyrmont hilft!"
A vision become reality. In february 2005 they put the foundation stone and a 400m² Montessori- preschool for 90 children became construct and in november the schoolwork began.
